Yes, we do! Our psychologist, Chang Chen, specializes in teen and adolescent therapy and works with clients 10 and up.

Lawson Collab isn’t an emergency clinic – we’re an outpatient mental health clinic. If you’re in a crisis or need immediate help, here are some resources:

Yes, we do! You can choose between in-person sessions or virtual appointments. For virtual appointments, we’ll email you a secure Telehealth link before your session.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel late or don’t show up, the session fee still applies.

Our therapy sessions are available in 50 or 80-minute options for individuals, couples, and families.

Yes, our therapy services are covered by most private health insurance plans! All our psychologists are registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), which is required for insurance reimbursement.

After your session, you’ll get an emailed receipt to submit to your insurance provider. We suggest checking with your insurance company to confirm if psychological services are covered and to find out details like coverage percentage and annual limits.

Right now, we don’t offer direct billing to insurance companies, but we’re working on adding this feature soon!

Yes, we offer evening appointments most days! Just click any ‘BOOK NOW’ button to check our psychologists’ calendars (you’ll need to create a profile first).

Nope, parking’s free! There’s 2-hour street parking available on 23 Ave SW.

Yes! We’re just a 3-minute walk from the 23 Ave SW and 4th Street SW bus stop, served by routes #3, #17, and #449.

Our clinic is a cozy red brick century home, so we ask you to remove your shoes at the door – don’t worry, we’ve got a bench and a shoe rack to keep things easy. If you’re not wearing socks, we’ll provide you with a free pair of Lawson Collab-branded socks to wear and keep! Just ring the doorbell when you arrive, and someone from our team will greet you shortly.

Our free 15-minute online consultation is a chance to meet your psychologist, chat about your goals, and ask any questions about therapy or Lawson Collab. It’s all about seeing if we’re the right fit for you. Just a heads-up: these sessions don’t include therapy itself – it’s more of a meet-and-greet!
