Before your virtual appointment, you will receive a secure Telehealth link from us sent to your inbox.
The easiest way is through our website. Click on any of the ‘BOOK NOW’ buttons.
If this is your first time booking an appointment with us, you will be prompted to register a profile first.
You can also book an appointment via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
24 hour notice for cancellations in order to avoid being charged the appointment fee.
You will receive up to two (2) reminder emails prior to the appointment date, including a final reminder email 48 hours prior to the appointment time.
You can do so online via our booking portal. Simply click on the ‘X’ at the upper right corner of the appointment details box.

For individual therapy, we offer 25, 50 and 80-minute sessions.
For couples and family therapy, we offer 50 and 80-minute sessions.
No, you do not require a doctor’s note.
All of our psychologists are registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) which is a requirement for insurance reimbursement.
We recommend contacting your health insurance provider to see if psychological services is covered under your plan.
Where possible, we direct-bill insurance companies for our services (not all health insurance providers allow for direct-billing).
We recommend contacting your health insurance provider to see if they accept direct-billing from private psychology clinics.
There is no cost. You are required to bring a valid Alberta Personal Health Card in order to see our staff psychiatrist.
Clients who do not present a valid Alberta Health Card will have their appointment cancelled.
How we work here at Lawson Collab is you would need to become a client first, then book at least one (1) full 50-minute session with our psychologist for background and history taking. From there, if our psychologist determines that a referral over to our staff psychiatrist is beneficial or necessary, we will do so at that time.
Our staff psychiatrist aims to see clients within 2 weeks of receiving a faxed referral letter from your family doctor.

Currently, our psychologists are available most evenings with the last appointment at 7:00pm MST, as well as on Sundays from 12:00pm – 4:00pm MST.

Our address is 534 23 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2S 0J5, located in the Cliff Bungalow/Mission community.
We are located on 23 Ave SW which is unmetered and has a 2 hour limit for parking.
We are located just a 3-minute walk from corner of 23rd Ave SW and 4th Street SW, which is a stop for three bus routes: #3, #17, and #449.
As we are a residential property, we kindly ask that our clients remove their footwear once inside the main door.
There is a bench for seating and a shoe rack to place your footwear.
We have free Lawson Collab-branded socks for you to wear and keep if you are not wearing socks with your footwear.
During hours outside of 9:00am – 5:00pm, we may lock the main entrance door. Kindly ring the doorbell and a member of our team will greet you momentarily.
Finally, as our guest, we welcome you with your choice of coffee, tea or bottled water – again, if you’d like!

This is an opportunity for you to get to know our psychologist, and for you to share a bit about what you’d be looking to get out of therapy.
In return, our psychologist will share their relevant experience with you and discuss next steps if you’re interested in continuing with us.
